Significance of the surviving Losties who would ultimately leave the Island on the last flight of Ajira 316.
The Island’s oldest inhabitant at over 100 years of age, he’s now been given ‘The Prize’ [yeah, I went Highlander. Deal with it]. Earning his first gray hair in less than an hour after finding his mortality, he’s paid his subservient dues for over a century. I’d like to think he’ll be returning to a Yes-Man, middle management role in Mittelos Laboratories
Sawyer found redemption on the Island, and had finally abandoned his life-long goal of seeking revenge. Growing from rogue scoundrel to leader of security (and one of the best sideways flashes, the Sawyer & Straume buddy-cop-show), Sawyer will be returning to a daughter he abandoned & his new girlfriend who happens to buddy-buddy with his ex-girlfriend. Perhaps there’s something to be said for going topless because he’s also one of the few to get laid in paradise.
The consummate Mother. Claire gave birth to Aaron on the Island, before becoming infected and influenced by the Man In Black and abandoned him. She will be returning to her mother and her now almost 4 year old son [perhaps that is what made Aaron special... Claire's get-off-the-Island-free card]. She should also be returning to a hair salon and some more debunked psychics who can decide her fate.
The son of Dharma Initiative leader Pierre Chang, Miles was born on the Island (which might be why he’s special and can commune with the recently dead). Wait, so Sayer AND Miles made it? Someone needs to green-light Sawyer & Straume as soon as humanly possible.
The pilot. Someone had to fly the plane. Period. Worth noting, no measly Island can destroy the Lawnmower Man. Perhaps he can be the wise-cracking chauffeur & pilot for Saywer & Straume‘s adventures!
