So do people believe that there is just one ring, or several rings in
FWWM. I mean do they travel to person to person etc, or do certain people
have their own ring, and LMFAP gives many people the similar rings that
do/ mean the same thing?
This is what I'm sure of: (what's in brackets is just assumed)
Judy (whose name is a reference to Wizard of OZ) was in some way troubled
by the BL (perhaps in the same way of Laura and Terrasa) had the ring in
her possession (maybe given to her by LMFAP).
Agent Jefferies was associated with her (perhaps investigating her
troubled situation which Gordon labelled a Blue Rose case). He was in
Buenos Aires (in 1986) He booked into the hotel (where he was to meet up
with Judy). She left a note to say she left. Jefferies and the bell boy
head for the elevator to get to his room.
Jefferies (1986) goes to her apartment in Seattle (in search for Judy
after she left the note), where he found a ring (he puts the ring on) and
finds himself above a convenience store and sees all the characters,
follows them through a ring of fire into the BL and learns all about them.
(while he is there he has horrible experiences and can't get out at that
point.) Hence the long lost Agent Jefferries, famous at the academy.
(does LMFAP now have the ring?)
Terresa, (1988) (is given the ring by LMFAP through a dream?) wears the
ring. She sleeps with BOB (who wants to kill her because she is wearing
the ring, like Laura). Once Terresa is murdered she is placed in the
water. This is when BOB begins leaving letters in the victim spelling his
name ROBERT backwards. Between Terresa being in the water and in the
morgue, her ring is taken (perhaps by the LMFAP). Somehow Gordon knew
that this was a Blue Rose case, and sends Desmond and Stanley. They
notice the ring is missing and Desmond won't tell Stanley about the Blue
Rose. Alone, Desmond goes to Terresa's trailer for the clue that would
connect the case other Blue Rose cases. He finds the ring under the
trailer (as well as a golf ball previously which is a link to Leland and
his golf hobby). Desmond finds the ring (and puts the ring on) and
disapears (probably to above the convenience store like Jefferies).
(In May 90) Jefferies, in the BL, knows that he can't escape
from the BL. (So he leaves his body and due to the largeamounts of
electricity above the convenience store, his mind travels through the
current in the wires making a wooping sound, gets inside his body from
1986 which is at that point is going up the elevator to the hotel room.
The elevator is generated by electricity. From there Jefferies can travel
to another elevator, in Philadelphia 1988.) He then walks out and around
Cooper who saw this happen in a dream. Jefferies then tells Gordon his
story and experiences in the BL and how he got there. He then sees the
calender 'May' (knowing of what's to come in Twin Peaks with Cooper. He
disappears sending his body back to the Hotel outside the elevator and his
mind back to the BL in 1990). It is then known also that Desmond has
disappeared.
1990, Laura has trouble with BOB. She's given the picture that spawns he
dreams of Cooper and the ring. Annie invades her dreams saying that
good Cooper is trapped in the BL, write it in you're diary. (the whole
room thing with the old lady and the grandson with Laura in the picture I
don't understand). Laura sees the ring in her hand (which is the LMFAP
trying to get her into the BL. Cooper and Leland don't want her to wear
the ring because it means she will be killed by BOB, but for Laura it
means an end to her suffering by BOB.) Next morning the ring isn't there
and Laura sees the ring on the hand of the OAM. This ring helps the OAM
travel to and from the BL/convenience store. Laura latter accepts the ring
when the OAM rolls it to her in the train, but Ronnette doesn't put the
ring on because her angel watches over her and looses the ring, and the
OAM helps her escape. Once Laura is killed she is put in the water.
(Perhaps the LMFAP is able to get the ring from her body like he had done
with Terresa?) Laura in the BL with Cooper's help is able to go to the
WL.
After Annie's experience in the BL she is wearing the ring. (perhaps the
LMFAP gave it to her.) Annie is rushed to hospital. (Due to wearing the
ring or her experience in the BL) Annie leaves her body in the hospital
and flashes her mind back to Laura's dream tells her that the good cooper
is trapped in the BL...
The nurse then takes the ring from Annie (which means that BOB won't have
to kill her and she won't go back to the BL.) Like Ronette, she will
survive. But When the nurse puts the ring on her own finger, (this is
Lynch making the story end on a happy (for Annie) but uncertain( for the
nurse) point), the nurse could be soon disappearing to the convenience
store/ BL.

Was Jefferies wearing the ring in Gordon's office?
